The National Specialty was held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Labour Day weekend. It was well attended and there were entries from Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. The weather was really pretty good, although a bit on the hot side!

The specialty started at 9:00 AM with the Juvenile Sweepstakes followed by the Veteran Sweepstakes. It was really nice to see the more senior dogs take to the show ring once again! The judge for the sweeps classes was Gloria Remillard.

The specialty show started at 10:00 AM with Tom Alexander judging. There were 35 dogs entered in the regular classes and 8 in the altered classes, along with 7 field dogs, 3 stud dogs and get, 3 brood bitch and progeny and 1 brace. The specialty wound up around noon. Karen Ibbitson was on cloud nine when her veteran dog Ch. Malhaven For Your Eyes Only took top honours for the day..... good for Bond and Karen!
