The photo contest was very popular with both the exhibitors and the general public. There were 48 pictures, arranged into 6 catagories ( Humour, Nature Lovers, Doin' Their Thing, Just Hangin' Out, GSPs & Friends, and Puppies). Anyone could cast a vote for his/her favorite picture in each category. The ballot box was overflowing by the end of the day. It took quite some time to organize the votes, but we didn't mind because it meant that people took the time to check out our breed and participate in the 2004 GSP National Specialty.
The four pictures which garnered the most votes received a prize!
Here are the top four pictures ........enjoy!!!

From the "Humour" category..... Biker Boy
Dale & Sandra Schindel - Red Deer, Alberta

From the "Puppies" category.... Pumpkin Patch Pup
Brad Young - Winnipeg, Manitoba

The photo contest was a huge success because it let all kinds of GSP people participate. You didn't have to have a "show dog" or a "handler". You just had to love your dog enough to take its picture doing something that you thought was interesting or cute.
The remaining 44 photos will be used on this website and put together into a slide show for use at other GSP events. If anyone out there has more photos that they would like to have displayed on the GSPMB website, don't be shy... send them to us and we'll see what we can do.
We wish to thank everyone who participated by sending in their photo. All of the pictures were great and we really wanted to give everyone a prize!
Thanks again for making it a success!

From "Nature Lover's"... Stop and Smell the Tulips
